Nelio Cat Tablets are used in the treatment of mild, moderate, and severe renal failure in cats. Renal Failure, often referred to as Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), is a progressive disease characterised by the loss of renal function. Nelio tablets help to control the condition by reducing the retention of sodium and water in the kidneys. This reduces protein loss in the urine of cats and slows the progression of the kidney damage.
When given as directed by your vet, the active ingredient also reduces constriction of arteries and veins, which normalises the elevated capillary pressure consistent with CKD.
Nelio 5mg Tablets for Cats are manufactured by Ceva Animal Health and developed specifically for cats. As such, they must never be used in other animals.
