Thiafeline 5mg tablets are indicated for the stabilisation of feline hyperthyroidism prior to surgical thyroidectomy and for the long term treatment of feline hyperthyroidism. Feline hyperthyroidism is a condition caused when the thyroid gland produces an excess of thyroid hormones, resulting in the cats metabolism 'speeding up'. This can manifest as symptoms such as increased activity and appetite. The active ingredient in Thiafeline, thiamazole inhibits the production of thyroid hormones, vastly improving the clinical signs associated with the condition. Thiafeline 5mg Tablets are manufactured by Animalcare Ltd. and developed specifically for cats. As such they must never be used in other animals. Price per tablet.
